Imagination Manifestation

You can make your mind believe anything. You can use your imagination to make yourself experience the deep sea or the highest mountain. Or even planets and space travel. Other dimensions.

Why not use your imagination to think of yourself that way? You can manifest that you are the person you know you are deep down, the one fighting, hiding, fearing...but overcoming it all each and every day.

You can imagine yourself in any career or in a great relationship. This doesn't mean it'll magically happen, but as your mindset about yourself and your innate abilities to survive and thrive changes into a positive perception, life will come along for the ride in unexpected and pleasant ways.

Pretend you are the lead singer of your favorite band about to go onstage to put on a show. Are you nervous? Envision yourself taking over the room, spreading your happy juju to every fan out there.

Then picture yourself taking stage and rocking the venue so hard the walls shake. This is your power. You can change your life by first imagining your mind and outlook changing.

Then the life you want will begin to manifest because you've found the secret. Manifesting isn't necessarily about getting everything you want, it's about have a state of mind to where you're happy with what you have and draw more positive things into your life through that.

Animal Symbolism - Cat

Cats are the most popular pet worldwide! They've been part of human lives for almost ten thousand years. Here's a picture of my newest family member:

She's a real tiger!

Cats were worshiped in Ancient Egypt, but later, some associated them with witches and witchcraft. Cats are symbols of spirituality, independence, grace and beauty.

Next handbook Teaser - Soulmates

I'm working on a handbook on soulmates and hope to finish it by the end of the month. Here's the introduction for your pleasure!

Introduction

Everybody is interested in soulmates, right? There are people who draw us in, hypnotize us, fascinate us all our lives from the moment we meet them, and the craziest part about it is they feel the same way about us.

The term “soulmate” is a spiritual one, but I bet there’s a word for it in tons of languages. There’s no proof of such a thing as a soulmate. For that, we’d need a “soul” in a petri dish.

You can read lots of books about soulmates and hear all kinds of ideas about soulmates from individual perspectives, and that’s all this handbook is. My thoughts and observations on what soulmates are and what purpose they serve. I gathered this through my thirty-eight years of relationships with family, friends, lovers and enemies. I don’t know anything for sure about what the core reality of it all is, but I want to write this book in hopes of helping readers think about their own ideas of soulmates.

I want readers to generate their own philosophies from anything I write, whether it be metaphysical ponderings or wild, thriller fiction. I want to entertain your mind with what could be, at least to me.

As you read, think about the people who have impacted you the most in your life and how they shaped it. Think about those you know now.

I believe we have many soulmates we can meet throughout our lives. I have read and heard of twin flames, too. Twin flames, from what I understand, are two people who are halves of the same soul in two different bodies. I haven’t given that much thought. Twin flames is not the topic of this handbook. I want to explore soulmates.

I hope you enjoy reading.

Gemstone Meaning - Malachite

The deep green of malachite and the swirls and patterns are of the earth.

Above is a polished cabochon used in jewelry. In natural form, it is a rough stone with many facets.

I'm in the process of making a malachite ring with white topaz accents. I think it'll be some time before it's finished.

Because of malachite's touch with all green things on earth, the stone is calming and opens the mind to spiritual experiences which bring happiness.

Tough Decisions

Where do you begin when making a choice? Do you think of what's in everybody's best interest and narrow it down to the one who has the most to gain? Do you look out for number one? Are you satisfied letting somebody else figure it out for you?

I recently had to make a tough decision. I had to let someone down, and that never feels good. I did it for the better of my family, but I still had to hurt someone in the process.

When we choose, we change the future. We create the future with our choices.

My belief is that if we make choices we feel are honest, good for loved ones and ourselves, and overall help other people, we're not doing too bad.

As time passes, guilt can be the trickiest part. Will we carry it harder and stronger each passing day, or will memory trick us into the bliss of forgetting?

Either way, there are imprints in our subconscious mind. The lessons we learn and the feelings we earn.

I Love Him, but Sometimes I Want to Hit Him over the Head with a Frying Pan

Love, men, sheesh! He’s great most of the time, you love him more than life itself, but once in a while…it would feel nice to whack him! Why does he take his moodiness out on you? Are you guilty of doing the same thing sometimes?

Sure, we all get persnickety when we live with someone or spend a lot of time with him. But he’s so…so…so…uhg! He won’t tell you what’s wrong, he just takes it out on you through snippy remarks, lack of affection, or just shuts down altogether.

Is this a bad thing? Could be, but if it doesn’t happen a lot, it’s actually flattering if you think about it.

He feels comfortable enough with you to let his freak flag fly. He’s grumpy one minute, then when he answers the phone to talk to a friend, he’s all nice and laughing. Why isn’t he doing that with you at that moment?

He knows you love him and will take his damage. You always have, he hopes you always will. And we’ve dished out some crazy for him to handle, too! But it’s all in love.

Try to get him to tell you what’s bothering him after he calms down or comes out of his shell. Many men haven’t been taught they can be open and vulnerable, and when they feel vulnerable, they want to hide it or take it out on…the people they love the most. That’s you.

Once you can get him talking, and it may take time and a lot of patience and effort, he’ll realize that’s the solution rather than a fight or a stagnant environment. A good way to get him to open up is for you to open up first about something bothering you, but don’t let him know if it’s him who is bothering you. Tell him about things in your life you are upset about, such as work situations, difficulty with children or family, ask him what you should and could do. Seek his advice and ask if he ever feels the way you do.

With time and repetition, he’ll feel safe to open up to you and realize you’re the “good one.” You’re only looking out for his best interests and letting him know he can vent to you about things outside your relationship will possibly encourage him to do that instead of the other ways he lets out his frustrations.

New Handbook Ideas

Hello! I am working on ideas for my next handbook and would love your input. There are three subjects I'm thinking of writing about.

I'm leaning toward a book about empathy. For this, I'd like to make a questionnaire my readers fill out anonymously. First, I need to find a way to do this.

Somebody voted for me to make blog posts about soulmates, which gave me some ideas on a handbook about this topic.

Thirdly, I'm tossing ideas around on writing how to unlock your inner divination skills.

I'm putting up a poll lasting though this week if you'd like to vote on which subject I should write about next. If you have ideas for something else, feel free to comment!

Thanks!

New Book Live on Kindle - meditations, Mantras and ways to Stop Beating Yourself Up

My handbook is live on Kindle. I was going to post one of the meditations, but figured it might not make much sense without some information on mantras, so here's the beginning of that chapter.

Chapter Two: What is a Mantra and How Can it Help You?

A mantra is something you associate with a different state of mind, like happiness when you’re usually not the most upbeat person. Mostly they are known as words or phrases, but they can be anything.
I have a mantra I developed over a year of imagining the happiest I could be. I use it now, not all the time, but to relax me and I swear I feel chemicals in my brain change. My mantra is a word phrase. No surprise there!
An example of a natural mantra is a song you heard a lot during an extremely emotional time period of your life. If you hear it now, you might feel that same way for a moment. How you felt then. The strength of your confusion, love, excitement, pain, anything going on.
Mantras are not just for boosting power in yourself. They are natural associations. They are everywhere, in everything. Color, sunsets, cars, ringtones, paintings, movies, HBO shows, a voice, scents. These mantras set your mind into another state. They take you where you were, however you felt, you are there right then when the mantra triggers you.
How does a mantra work? More mysteries of the mind which are being uncovered. Many mystical types use mantras to take them into extreme states of higher consciousness. Shamans use mantras to go into trance and explore different dimensions they describe, and can go into what is called the Shamanic Ecstasy, where they feel extreme pleasure of spirit, body and mind.
A mantra simply transforms your perception. What do you think would work for you? Does music especially affect you? Do you like the idea of having powerful words you can say or think to make yourself change? I’ll give types of meditations in another chapter, but I want you to try all kinds of ideas for your mantras. I believe I said this in my first book, but imagination is a great, strong and powerful gift which is uniquely yours. The way your imagination works is key to creating mantras and being able to use them in everyday life.

New Book Release : )

I uploaded Meditations, Mantras and Ways to Stop Beating Yourself Up to Kindle about an hour ago. Only a few votes on the blog, but friends on Facebook and people I know liked the brass-colored one for the cover. I thought the font could be better, so here's what it looks like:

Once it's live, I'll post one of the meditations in the book on the blog. Thanks for reading!

Need Your Input! Cover for Next Book!

Hello! I'm almost finished writing my next handbook, and here are two covers I'm working on. I'd love to know which you like, or if I should try more. These images are from Alice Porpkorn, as was the last image I used for the first handbook.

I'm putting a poll up on the sidebar if you'd like to contribute, or feel free to leave a comment.

Animal Symbolism - Porcupine

The porcupine is all about oneself, your innermost being, protection and dealing with self-loathing through defeating it with will alone.

Pride is eradicated when the porcupine is invoked. You can get claws or spines from porcupines if you need something concrete to help you focus on its powers. If you touch porcupine objects or see one in person, in can invoke memories you'd long forgotten. Not always good ones, but they will have a purpose, which is to teach you humility and the ability to believe you can live through anything. Strength in being inconspicuous until cornered (mostly by yourself) is the power of the porcupine.

Excerpt From Next Hand Guide

Chapter One: What’s Wrong with Me?
Absolutely nothing. And everything. And some of this and some of that. But quit asking yourself that. Each time you go through your what’s-wrong-with-you list, begin a what’s-right-with-you list. Maybe you have nice feet. Or perhaps you’ve been told a lot by friends you’re a great listener.
You won’t want to think about those things after you’ve mentally crushed yourself with all that stuff you hate about yourself. It’s hard to switch gears like that. The first time you may quit at simply thinking about doing it.
But maybe, just maybe, you’ll try it a few more times. And say something nice and honest to yourself that you like about you. And you might even listen. And as crazy as it sounds, that one whisper from your own lips to your ears could change your day.
It might not happen each time you do it, but it could become a mantra. More on that later, but this is a simple way to train your mind.
What do you think is wrong with you? What’s so horrible? Name those things.
Next, identify where those ideas came from. Did someone tell you that about yourself? Do you feel guilty about certain desires you have you think you shouldn’t? Have you been taught certain thoughts are bad? Have you been mean to people to make yourself feel stronger, only to later feel miserable you did those things?
You are human, then! Welcome to humanity. We all do those things. And many of us hate ourselves for it. I suppose the ones who don’t wouldn’t bother picking up this read. You did. You’re trying to find a way to quit beating yourself up.

Animal Symbolism - Coyote

For some of us, animals are a huge part of our lives. Pets, watching shows about them, learning about them. A good friend of mine's favorite animal is the coyote.

I think they are beautiful and intriguing, too! They have interesting symbolism. I keep a coyote claw in my reading space for these reasons. They are wonderful at changing your fortune, the way your life is going, into positive and playful directions. Coyotes teach us to be adaptable, enhance our natural sense of humor, and show us to be creatively manipulative to get through life.

They sound like screaming babies when a pack runs through, and it can be eerie and terrifying if you don't know what the sound is. If you do, you'll love it.

Just be sure to keep your small pets inside if you have coyotes around. They are predators just as much as scavengers. Clever and social, coyotes are not the vermin of the wilds, but rather lurkers in the shadows, planning, fearful in solitude, and powerful in their packs. They can teach us a lot about depending on our loved ones.

Gemstone Meaning - Peridot

Peridots are gorgeous, pale green stones. I once bought an itty bitty, uncut stone for eight bucks at a rock store in PA.

These stones are used metaphysically for spiritual protection. If you wear one, rubbing it or holding the stone in your palms can calm you or keep you from people who want to use your empathy for their benefit. It's a highly psychic stone and good spirits are attracted to peridots.

A Way A Mantra Can Help You Lose Weight

How can saying something in my head or singing a song to myself help me lose weight?

The brain loves associations. Do you like to place actors in movies you're watching with other roles they've played, not quite satisfied until you've made an association with them as people?

Same thing applies here. Each time you overeat and feel bad about doing it, instead of letting guilt crush you, get some silly 80s song in your head. Get it nice and stuck in there. Then forget about it.

Every time you eat too much and the guilt kicks in, make that one 80s song you never could get out of your head play in your mind until you can't take it anymore.

It could take a week, a month, a few months, but eventually, you can make yourself hear the 80s song before you eat, and you'll remember that bloated, icky feeling your body gets when you eat too much before you do it, then you won't even want to.

This works with any kind of imagery you can think of, such as words you repeat over and over; physical activities, from knitting only blue yarn to hopping on one foot for three minutes; or staring at a picture or artwork, or even imagining it in your head.

Train your brain, don't let it tame your life with its demands for you to be what you want through criticism.

Happy New Year!

2012 seemed a year of big changes for me and everyone I know. Some good, some appearing not so good, but overall, after 366 days of our culture becoming more globally aware, relationships twisting and turning as people themselves adapt to this quickly-evolving world, and the explosion of ideas through artistic expression accessible with a few bucks a month, a computer or phone on a credit card, and nooks/crannies all over where we can find our niches, we survived!!!!

Now, take a lesson from this kitty. He knows. Now you do, too!

Best of all things to you in the new year, and I hope you have positive thoughts about where this "lucky" 13 will take us.
